Kids Wildflower Seed Bomb and Art Workshop

Join us for a creative, nature-inspired workshop for children and help support Ontario’s native wildlife and pollinators. 

Native wildflowers are beautiful additions to the landscape, from roadside habitats to sunny corners of your own yard. Beyond their beauty, these plants provide important food sources and habitat for bees, butterflies, birds, and other wildlife.

Participants will create three wildflower seed bombs to take home and enjoy a wildflower art activity using markers or natural pigment paints. Along the way, they’ll learn how native plants support local ecosystems and discover simple ways to grow wildflowers in their own spaces.

This workshop is co-facilitated by Kailey Stewart of ecothera and Amy Sandy of Longfish Gardens, bringing together a shared passion for nature, gardening, and creative community experiences.

Participants will:

• Learn about Ontario native wildflowers and their ecological benefits
• Create three wildflower seed bombs to take home
• Create wildflower artwork
• Discover simple ways to support pollinators and local biodiversity
• Connect with others through a fun, hands-on nature activity

Drop-In Format: Arrive anytime during the event window and participate at your own pace. Most participants will require approximately 30–45 minutes to complete the activities.

Parking & Arrival: Please park in the main parking lot of Five Oaks Centre and walk the short distance to the activity tent.
