Frequently Asked Questions
Booking and Service Details
What is the step-by-step process for booking services?
1. Inquiry & Intake
Initial contact is made via email or contact form to outline interest and provide a brief overview of needs or project scope. A consultation is then scheduled to clarify goals, context, participants, and desired outcomes. An intake form may be completed to support appropriate program design and ensure safe, effective delivery.
2. Proposal, Booking & Preparation
A tailored service proposal is developed, including scope of work, program structure, timeline, location, and associated fees. Upon acceptance, booking is confirmed through a service agreement, with required consent documentation and a deposit (where applicable) to secure services.
3. Program Delivery & Completion
Services are delivered as scheduled at agreed-upon locations, including private gardens, public green spaces, or partner sites. Facilitation, materials, and coordination are included unless otherwise specified. Where applicable, brief evaluation or feedback processes may be included. Final invoices are issued upon completion in accordance with the agreed payment terms.
Do I need a referral, or can I self-refer?
No referral is needed. Individuals, families, and organizations are all welcome to reach out directly.
How far in advance should I book?
Booking timelines may vary; however, 2–4 weeks’ notice is recommended for workshops and new programs. Ongoing or larger-scale programming may require additional lead time. Bookings may be scheduled up to one year in advance, subject to project scope and availability.
Do you offer online consultations or virtual services?
Yes. Online consultations and virtual advisory sessions are available for individuals and organizations. These sessions can support program planning, horticultural therapy guidance, project development, and general consultation. Virtual options are scheduled by appointment and confirmed during the booking process.
Do you travel to different locations?
Yes—services can be delivered at your site or within a community setting. Travel availability and any associated costs will be discussed during booking. The standard service area can be viewed here; services outside of this area may be subject to additional travel fees.
What is your cancellation or rescheduling policy?
Policies vary depending on the service type, but details will be clearly outlined at the time of booking to ensure transparency and flexibility where possible.
Do you require any forms before starting?
Yes—an intake form and consent waiver are required prior to participation. These help ensure services are safe, appropriate, and aligned with individual or group needs. All information is handled with care and confidentiality.
Do you provide additional documentation required by organizations?
Yes. Additional documentation can be provided as needed to support organizational requirements. This may include vendor registration forms, service agreements or contracts, program outlines or scopes of work, payment information for invoicing setup, and other materials required for onboarding or approval processes.
Can you provide organizational or compliance documentation?
Yes. Proof of insurance, HST registration, and business registration details are available upon request. A certificate of insurance can also be provided for organizational onboarding, procurement, or funding requirements.
Pricing and Investment
How much do your direct services cost?
Pricing varies depending on the type of service, group size, location, and level of customization. A detailed quote is provided following an initial consultation. For group sessions, per-participant rates typically range from $5–$75, with most offerings falling between $15–$45 per participant. For one-on-one or small group sessions (9 participants or fewer), pricing varies based on the program plan and scope.
What factors influence pricing?
Pricing is determined by session length, number of participants, materials, travel requirements, program design, and whether services are one-time or ongoing.
What is included in the cost?
Most services include program planning, facilitation, materials, and cleanup. Any additional costs, such as travel or site rental fees, will be clearly outlined in advance.
Do you offer sliding scale or flexible pricing?
Flexible pricing may be available for select community-based or nonprofit programs. Please get in touch to discuss your needs and eligibility.
Are there additional costs I should be aware of?
Additional costs may apply for travel, specialized materials, or external site bookings. These will always be discussed and confirmed prior to finalizing the booking.
Do you offer hourly consulting, speaking, or on-site advisory services?
Yes. Hourly consulting, speaking engagements, and on-site advisory services are available for organizations seeking program development support, training, or horticultural therapy guidance. These services are typically provided without materials and may include program planning, facilitation support, or professional consultation. Rates vary depending on scope, duration, and location, and will be confirmed during consultation. For budgeting purposes, hourly rates generally range from $50–$75, subject to change based on project requirements.
