Stedman Community Hospice Fundraiser
The Stedman Garden Collection
ecothera is fundraising to support the growth of horticultural therapy programming and the therapeutic gardens at Stedman Community Hospice.
We are seeking community support to fund the creation of the first collection of 25+ pressed flower artworks. Funds raised will cover essential supplies including frames, archival materials, and cardstock.
A summary of fundraising results, purchases, and overall impact will be shared with the community once the initial collection has been launched.
Once launched, all proceeds from Stedman Community Hospice artwork sales will support horticultural therapy programming and the hospice therapeutic gardens.

The Concept
Flowers harvested from the hospice's therapeutic gardens will be carefully pressed and transformed into handcrafted botanical artwork. These one-of-a-kind pieces will be available for purchase in the hospice gift shop, allowing visitors, families, volunteers, and community members to bring home a meaningful piece of the garden. In doing so, the artwork offers a way to carry the memory and honour of loved ones beyond the hospice grounds, holding their presence in a lasting form.

The Impact
All proceeds from artwork sales will support horticultural therapy programming and the hospice gardens. This includes horticultural therapy sessions using plant and flower materials in both individual and group settings, such as sensory-based garden experiences, legacy garden planning with families, planting and arranging workshops, guided nature connection activities, and gentle hands-on sessions designed to support relaxation, reflection, and moments of joy.

The Connection
Kailey Stewart is the 2026 Horticultural Therapy Intern at the Hospice and is working to expand horticultural programming in sustainable and meaningful ways. To ensure full transparency, neither Kailey nor ecothera will receive any financial benefit from this initiative—100% of funds raised will support the materials needed to launch the collection, and all time spent creating the inaugural artworks is being fully volunteered. Kailey is deeply appreciative of your support.
